by RJ Drive vehicle

All bookings are accepted on the understanding that the following conditions apply in full in all circumstances. A confirmed booking is an agreement that the customer will abide by the company's terms & conditions at all times.

  1. Carrier Liability & Exemptions:

Pursuant to Chapter IV, Article 17, Paragraph 4(f) of the CMR International Convention, the Customer accepts that RJ Drive AB, as the carrier, is relieved of liability for any injury or loss related to live animals arising from the special risks inherent in their carriage. By confirming this booking, the Customer acknowledges these inherent risks.

  2. Owner’s Risk & Insurance:

All horses and equipment travel at the Owner's risk, and all horses must be fully insured by the Owner. We reserve the right to discontinue or refuse to load any horse posing a risk to itself, our staff, or the vehicle. The driver's decision is final, and the Owner remains liable for all costs incurred.

  3. Third-Party Liability:

RJ Drive AB and its employees will take all reasonable precautions. However, in the event of injury or damage sustained by your horse to another animal, third party, or equipment, the Owner remains personally liable for all damages.

  4. Preparation for Travel:

It is the responsibility of the sender to prepare the horse for travel. The decision to dress the horse (rugs, boots, etc.) is entirely at the Owner's discretion and risk.

  5. Emergency Veterinary Care:

All veterinary costs or additional stabling beyond the agreed journey must be covered by the Owner. If a horse requires urgent veterinary attention in our opinion and the Owner is unavailable, we reserve the right to contact a veterinarian on your behalf. The Owner remains entirely responsible for all emergency charges incurred.

  6. Safety & Offloading:

We reserve the right to refuse to continue transport if we believe it cannot be done safely. A cancellation fee will apply. Should it be necessary to unload the horse at an alternative location for safety, the Owner is responsible for all stabling and veterinary fees. All costs must be settled in full before the horse is released. It is then the Owner's responsibility to organize further transport.
